Our Process and whats involved

Over the last number of years restoration of old mosaic in churches and municipal buildings has become a speciality of ours. Over the years dampness, and expansion and contraction can cause mosaic to come away from its base and come loose.

In order to fix this we take up the loose mosaic, clean it, re-assemble it using the original material plus a small percentage of new material then re-lay it using modern adhesives.

We also specialise in cleaning old mosaic, mostly in churches, where years of candle smoke amongst other things have caused the mosaic to look dull and dark. Cleaning the mosaic can really brighten up the place.
